Join Cornell Cooperative Extension and Hawthorne Valley Farm on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 AM for a soil health demonstration, pasture walk, and discussion. Cost of the event is $10.00 per farm, refreshments will be provided.
Hawthorne Valley Farm, 327 County Route 21C, Ghent, NY 12075 (https://store.hawthornevalley.org/) is a biodynamic farm raising livestock for meat and dairy, growing vegetables and managing a bakery and on-farm store. Hawthorn Valley is also a participating farm in the Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship program.
An interactive demonstration of the Cornell Soil Health Trailer provides a first-hand demonstration of the impacts of various soil health practices.
