Farmer Discussion Group Meeting

The Capital Area Agriculture and Horticulture Program and Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County will be holding winter Farmer Discussion Group meetings in early January 2020.  Dayton Maxwell, newly hired CAAHP Farm Business Management Educator, will lead a discussion on farm business management in a challenging agricultural economy.  Aaron Gabriel, CAAHP Agronomy Educator, will discuss new and old pests including the soybean cyst nematode, western bean cutworm, and several weeds (tall waterhemp, palmer amaranth, marestail, knapweeds, and bedstraws).  These pests create new challenges that require diligent management. 

There is no charge for the meetings and lunch will be provided. Please register in advance so we can plan for lunch.
