Making the Most of Social Media is the Focus of Social Media Workshop

 

TROY, NY - Join us at the Social Media Workshop that will be held on Thursday, March 12 at CCE of Rensselaer County, 61 State Street, Troy, NY 12180.  The workshop will begin at 9:00 A.M. and end at 1 P.M.

 

Kayela Statom, 4-H and Agriculture Extension Educator, will start the workshop off with a training for Harvest Connection farmers and farmers’ market managers.  The training will demonstrate how to manage a farm or farmers’ market page on the Harvest Connection website as well as how Harvest Connection is moving forward.  Bernie Wiesen, Executive Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension, will share the results of a recent consumer survey for Harvest Connection.

 

Robert Clancy, co-founder of Spiral Design Studio, will discuss all of the features of the Harvest Connection app which was launched in November 2019.

 

Jessica Ziehm, Ag Marketing Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension, will talk about how to make the most of social media to reach your goals.  Jessica will arm participants with insight, tips and resources to improve their "return on investment” on social media and give you the opportunity to hear from like-minded business owners on their secrets to success. 

 

Mary Kate Patterson, founder of Hive-Haus Communications, will present a panel on how to create engaging content for your social media marketing. The panel will cover topics like photography tips to make your images more engaging, how to draft the perfect caption, and how to balance your posts for optimal engagement. 

 

Cornell Cooperative Extension is collaborating with Hudson Mohawk Resource Conservation and Development Council to offer this social media workshop.
